Great news! We have been successful in our Te Hau Toka funding application for running a Mau Rākau Wānanga at Cromwell College. Yay! We have secured $931.00 in funding to pay for advertising, kai and fees to Matua Ned.
Big mihi to Alice Conway for helping out with the application.

Kia ora Louise,
Thank you for thinking about us! At this stage we are interested, but we are waiting to hear back from Mana Tāhuna as they had plans for our group on the Friday 24th and maybe the 25th. So if we are free, we would love to be involved. Do you know specifically what you may want us to do and for how long? That would be helpful for our planning.
Happy to have a chat anytime you are free.
Aku mihi

Dear Cory,
I am the arts and culture coordinator at Te Atamira – the new community art space opening up in Frankton in Autumn this year. The space will consist of 21 spaces for visual and performing arts + music, including a gallery and project space, theatre/music rehearsal and performance spaces, a podcast/recording studio, an art workshop and six artist studios, a pottery studio, and two dance studios.
I am currently preparing the programme for the coming year and would like to ask you about the possibility of you contributing to our Matariki programme in June. Specifically, I am thinking about the holiday weekend 24-26 June: we would love to run a couple of waiata singalong sessions on Friday and Saturday to include in our programme (which will include a range of whanau friendly activities, including kite-making workshops, story-telling sessions, open studios with local artists, talks, a quartet concert and a dance workshop and performance).
What do you think? Is this something you’d be interested in being involved in? If so, let me know and we can arrange to meet up/talk on the phone so I can give you more information about what we’re planning. It would be great to have you involved!
Let me know if you have any questions – my phone number is below if you prefer to call.
All the very best,
Louise
