Sad, but expected news that the Waitangi Day event planned for Sunday 6th at Earnslaw Green has been cancelled. The good news is that we will still receive a koha for our group. Email below from Janey.

I have met with Jan and discussed the viability of running the public Waitangi Day event in Red and it’s unfortunately not possible in the location and with the capacity constraints.

We understand that you have put in lots of work and practice to help bring this event life and we appreciate this. We would like to offer you a koha of $200 to use as a gratitude for your pre-work for the event. Please let me know if you will accept this and we will transfer to your nominated bank account.

It will be a quiet Waitangi Day this year but it’s a great reason to spend time with our whanau on what should be a lovely summer day.
